Body in fridge: Woman, lover arrested for killing husband

Hyderabad: A woman and her lover were arrested by the Jubilee Hills police on Tuesday for allegedly murdering the former’s husband. The cops claimed to have solved the murder case of the deceased, whose body was found stuffed in a refrigerator in his apartment at Karmikanagar in Jubilee Hills.

The cops arrested the wife of the deceased, Rubeena and her lover in the case. Police officials said that both of them have planned and killed Mohammed Siddique Ahmed, who was murdered due to issues arising after he found out about the affair between Rubeena and Syed Mohammed Ali.

On April 1, the deceased Mohammed Siddique Ahmed was found murdered at his residence and his dead body was stuffed in the fridge. According to Rajsekhar Reddy, Jubilee Hills police station inspector, family members of the deceased doubted his wife Rubeena, given her affair with Ali, who is a mechanic by profession. Police officials launched a hunt for Ali on Tuesday and took him into custody near the Yousufain Dargah.

During the course of interrogation, he confessed that he was having an affair with Rubeena for two years. About one and half year back, both were caught red-handed at Ahmed’s flat, due to which the deceased first physically assaulted Ali and warned him with dire consequences. Ahmed also reportedly began torturing his wife Rubeena also.

Due to the physical abuse, Rubeena and Ali then decided to eliminate Ahmed so that they could instead be together. Both then planned to eliminate Siddique. Rubeena, who went to her mother’s home, came back with Ali and gained entry in the house, after which they killed Ahmed by hitting his head with an iron rod. The police have arrested the accused and sent them to judicial remand.
