GHMC official from Kukatpally caught taking Rs 15 lakh bribe

Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday, February 4, conducted a raid at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s (GHMC) Kukatpally zonal office and nabbed Superintendent Engineer Chinna Reddy for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 15 lakh, local reports said.

More details on the case are awaited.

Earlier, on February 2, a Mandal Revenue Inspector from Gurrampode mandal in Nalgonda district was nabbed by the ACB for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000.

The accused officer, Mohammed Abdul Hakeem, had demanded the bribe to process and forward the complainant’s application to the Tahsildar for restoration of deleted land details from the online 1-B Register (ROR), ACB said.
