Hyderabad: Telangana health and finance minister Harish Rao and miniter for agriculture, co-operation and marketing held a press meet at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday to discuss the recent poaching attempt involving MLAs of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi.

Rao said that the situation of BJP thieves who were caught in the TRS MLAs poaching case has become “like a rat struggling in the troubled waters.”

“After the government arrested them and sent them to jail, the BJP leaders left a bitter taste in one’s mouth,” he added. “The BJP state president took oath on wet clothes and the party General Secretary knocked the Court doors to stop the probe and transfer the case to Delhi.”

“At one side BJP leaders said the cases were not related to them and the other side , they filed petitions in the courts to stop the investigation is stopped. If there is nothing to do with the MLA’s purchase case, why the BJP leaders filed cases in the court? The leaders should answer,” he said.

Rao said that the BJP leaders are hatching conspiracies fearing the truth will come out. He also commented on how judges of the Supreme Court expressed their shock at the attempt to poach MLAs.

“Why did the governor talk about Tushar yesterday? We talked about Tushar from Kerala who contested against Rahul Gandhi. Why did the governor mention the name of his former ADC Tushar,” he asked.

Rao said that the BJP leaders are asking to stop the inquiry and the SIT and if there was no issue, they shouldn’t any issue with a detailed inquiry.

Adding to Rao’s comments, Telangana cabinet minister Niranjan Reddy said that the Telangana government believes in democratic governance.

“The BJP is ruling in many states without a majority and is currently undermining Indian democracy. Their attempts to topple the government with hundreds of crores has already been exposed. Telangana state government has taken serious note of the attempts made to destabilizing governments. BJP leaders are trying to block the inquiry in a most unnatural way,” said Niranjan Reddy.
