Hyderabad: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught four officials of the Telangana Irrigation department Irrigation officials red-handed in the act of receiving bribes.
In a press release, the ACB said that Executive Engineer K Bhansi Lal, K Karthik – Assistant Executive Engineer H Nikhesh Kumar – Assistant Executive and Surveyor P Ganesh-Surveyor were caught at the MRO office, Gandipet for demanding and accepting the amount of Rs.1,00,000 for a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
“The total bribe demanded was Rs. 2,50,000 with Rs 1,50,000 already paid. Rs 65,000 was recovered from Bhansi Lal and Rs 35,000 from Nikhesh Kumar,” the department stated.
