Hyderabad: Panic gripped the busy Koti area on Saturday morning, January 31, after a shooting incident was reported at the State Bank of India (SBI) main branch ATM, in which armed robbers looted Rs 6 lakh in cash.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred around 7 am when a man identified as Rashid arrived at the ATM to deposit money. As he entered the premises, the assailants allegedly opened fire, shot him in the leg, and fled with Rs 6 lakh in cash.
Injured man moved to hospital
Rashid sustained a bullet injury to his leg and was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.
Police rushed to the spot following the incident and cordoned off the area. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway.
CCTV footage from the ATM and surrounding areas is being examined to identify and trace the accused.
