Hyderabad: Bandi Sanjay accuses Owaisi college faculty of terror links

Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home affairs, Bandi Sanjay claimed on Sunday, September 22, that a member of an internationally banned terrorist organisation is employed in Fathima Owaisi College in Hyderabad.

Addressing the media, the BJP leader alleged a member of “Hizb ut-Tahrir”, an internationally banned terrorist organisation is working as a faculty in the Owaisi-owned college and alleging that this individual is spreading extremist thoughts among students. He also dismissed accusations of Islamophobia regarding his earlier comments.

Bandi Sanjay’s polarising comment came days after All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi called out a recent statement made by BJP’s Karimnagar MP as Islamophobic.
