Hyderabad: The sleuths of Commissioner’s Task Force, North Zone Team along with Cyber Crime, CCS Police busted a fake medical registration certificates scam and apprehended three accused identified as Kandukuri Anantha Kumar, Sr. Asst. in TS Medical Council, Koti, Kasaramoni Sivanand (MBBS) and Thota Dilip Kumar (MBBS), who obtained fabricated medical registration certificates through the Medical Council employee.
Kandukuri Anantha Kumar, 47, working as Sr. Asst in TS Medical Council, Koti and residing at Tarnaka. He is a native of Kamunikantha village, Yadadri District. He delivered fabricated medical registration certificates. Second accused Kasaramoni Sivanand, 32, S/o. K. Mallesh, private employee residing at Ibrahimpatnam, R.R.District. He did MBBS from China in the year 2012 and obtained fake medical registration certificate. Third accused Thota Dilip Kumar, 31, residing at Karmanghat, Hyderabad. He also did MBBS from China in the year 2012 and obtained fake medical registration certificate.
On February 23, 2022, Ch. Hanmantha Rao, Registrar, Telangana State Medical Council, Koti, Hyderabad filed a complaint stating that on data verification they found that some unqualified doctors obtained fabricated medical registration certificates illegally on the genuine qualified doctors registration numbers. The police registered FIR and investigated into the scam.
As per the rules, the doctors, who receive primary medical qualification degree by medical institutions abroad are required to pass a mandatory screening test in India to get the permanent registration certificates to practice. But the accused doctors not cleared the screening test conducted by the National Board of Examination and obtained fabricated medical registration certificates illegally by paying money to K. Anantha Kumar.
Kasaramoni Sivanand completed MBBS from Southeast University, China in the year 2012 and returned to India. From August 2012 to 2016, he worked as Duty Doctor in Yashodha Hospital, Somajiguda, Hyderabad. Later, he joined Pvt Health company “Primera Medical Technologies, Madhapur.
Thota Dilip Kumar completed MBBS from Nantong University, China in 2012 and returned to India. From 2016 to 2018, he worked as Duty doctor in Yashoda Hospital, Somajiguda. At present, he is working as Assistant to senior Doctors in private hospitals.
Police said they hatched a plan to get Medical registration certificate through back door from TS Medical Council. They met Kandukuri Anantha Kumar, who agreed to arrange the Medical registration certificate and demanded Rs 9,00,000 each. In 2017, the accused Kandukuri Anantha Kumar delivered fabricated Medical registration certificates to Kasaramoni Sivanand and Thota Dilip Kumar.
