Hyderabad: I-T raids on Malla Reddy end amid high drama

Hyderabad: The Income Tax Department (I-T) raids at the houses of Telangana minister Ch Malla Reddy ended late on Wednesday night, amidst the high drama.

Extreme drama prevailed when the I-T officials and the minister reached the Bowenpally police station and started complaining against each other.

The issue started after Malla Reddy along with an I-T official Ratnakar came to the Bowenpally police station and alleged that the official and others came to the hospital where his son Mahendar Reddy was admitted and forcefully took his signatures.

The CRPF personnel who were along with the I-T official too came along and blocked the police station gates hindering the entrance for the minister’s supporters.

The Minister later lodged a complaint with the police against the I-T officials stating that they had brutally beaten up his son and misbehaved with him.

He claimed that they don’t have any unaccounted money with them and I-T officials are simply harassing them and furnishing all false details in their records.

Following the incident, the I-T officials also reportedly lodged a complaint and an investigation on the matter by police is underway.
