Hyderabad: Juvenile kills boy, portrays as train accident; held

Hyderabad: The Allapur police under the Cyberabad commissionerate on Friday, June 28, apprehended a juvenile along with nine others for allegedly murdering a 17-year-old boy and portraying it as a train accident.

The victim, identified as Mohd Danish Yahya, was pursuing an intermediate from a private college at Yousufguda where the juvenile also studied.

Police said that the juvenile was jealous of Danish being friends with a girl at college. He warned him several times, but the victim continued the friendship. The juvenile reportedly did not like it and along with his friends plotted to murder him.

On June 22, he called Danish near the railway tracks at Allapur. “When Danish arrived, the juvenile and nine of his associates, who were all under the influence of drugs, attacked Danish. The juvenile hit Danish on his head with a beer bottle following which he collapsed,” police said.

They took the Danish’s body and dumped it on the railway tracks to portray it as a train accident.

The railway police discovered the body on the tracks the same day and registered a case of suspicious death. The body was handed over to the family after postmortem.

A case of murder was registered under section 302r/ 34 against ten persons including five juveniles.
