Hyderabad: The office of the Director of Government Examination, Telangana, announced the last date for uploading applications for other National Means cum Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) for the year 2022-23 and renewals in National Scholarship Portal is September 30, 2022.
The NMMSS’s primary objective is to provide scholarships to students who belong to economically weaker sections of society.

Students must have a minimum of 55% in class VII to appear in the exam and avail of the scholarship. The percentage is relaxed by 5% for students belonging to Schedule Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities.
The student should be studying as a regular student in a government school or government-aided school.
The welfare scheme was launched under former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh by the UPA government in 2008.
