Hyderabad: Tension prevailed in Barkas following the death of social worker Shaik Sayeed Bin Abdul Rehman Bawazir, 27, who was allegedly murdered at Bandlaguda on Thursday night.
He was attacked by one person, Ahmed Bin Hajab, with sharp-edged weapons, resulting in grievous injuries all over his body, leading to his immediate death. Shaik Bawazir rose to fame after he started raising civic issues and social issues concerning public.
He focused more on Jalpally Municipality and criticized a Minister of TRS government and Jalpally Municipality counsellors, ward members and others. He often released videos about the civic issues plaguing the slums areas falling in Jalpally municipality. He gained huge following on social media for his orator skills. After coming to know about his death a huge crowd had gathered at the Osmania General Hospital mortuary.
After completion of postmortem the body was taken home.The family members later kept the body home demanding the Home Minister visit the house of the deceased and give assurance of strict action against the persons involved in the murder.
Some days ago, Shaik Sayeed Bawazeer told in a video that he was facing life threat and had named some influential persons who are allegedly linked to political parties. The police following tension beefed up security in Barkas and Chandrayangutta. The Commissioner’s Task Force, City Armed Reserve and local police are camping in the Barkas and surroundings to prevent trouble.The funeral is expected to take place late in the night
