‘Kavitha has received justice’: KTR after court verdict in liquor policy case

Hyderabad: Welcoming the court verdict in favour of former BRS MLC and his sister, K Kavitha, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President KT Rama Rao (KTR) on Friday, February 27, said justice had finally prevailed in what he described as a politically motivated case linked to the alleged Delhi liquor policy scam.

Liquor ‘scam’ narrative used to destabilise AAP, target BRS: KTR

Reacting to the development, KTR stated that Kavitha had received justice in court and expressed confidence that all cases registered against BRS leaders would ultimately be proven false.

He alleged that the “liquor scam” narrative was used as a pretext to destabilise the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government led by Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, while politically targeting the BRS.

According to KTR, although the case was projected as a major corruption scandal, it was the BRS that suffered political damage during both the Assembly and Parliamentary elections.

“Just as this case has unravelled, it will soon be established that every case filed against our leaders is fabricated, politically motivated, and baseless,” he said.

KTR targets Congress, BJP

The BRS leader accused both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of making irresponsible allegations and attempting to tarnish the party’s reputation through what he termed “false and conspiratorial cases.”

He further alleged that media trials were used to amplify accusations and mislead the public.

“Unfortunately, in this ‘New India,’ allegations are given more importance than evidence, and media narratives often outweigh due legal process,” KTR remarked, adding that truth and justice would ultimately triumph.
