No desire to be PM, merely wish to create anti-Modi front: KCR

Hyderabad Desk

Hyderabad: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao has not only criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his dress, and his policies but by meeting the anti-BJP leaders like Mamata Banerjee, M K Stalin and Uddhav Thackeray as well as the former Prime Minister Deve Gowda, he has indicated his willingness to play a significant role in the national politics.

It is speculated in the political spheres that KCR is paving the ground for ending the BJP led rule in 2024 by forming a front with like-minded leaders. He is striving to form an anti-BJP and anti-Congress front at the Center.

The Telangana Chief Minister is respected across the country.  Prime Minister Modi is worried about the changed attitude of KCR. He is well aware about the TRS support in the passing of important bills in Parliament.  This is the reason why the PM phoned KCR to congratulate him on his birthday.

Giving an interview to Siasat Daily, the Chief Minister said that he has no desire to be PM but his desire is to serve the people and to make Telangana the most advanced and progressive state in the country.

The Telangana Chief Minister is expected to meet the Maharashtra CM Udhav Thakre on February 20.

KCR questioned the timing of the Hijab controversy raised by the BJP.  “BJP ruled Karnataka in the past. Why did it not raise this issue?  This is a game being played in view of the elections in UP and 4 other states.  BJP is polarizing the society to take political mileage,” the CM said.
