Hyderabad: Pir Dawood Ali Gailani, the descendant of revered Sufi Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jeelani aka Ghouse Al Azam on late Saturday passed away in Istanbul Turkey.
Pir Dawood who was in his early 50’s was the eldest of Pir Salman Al Gailani who is said to be a descendant the grandsons of Prophet Muhammad. .
Pir Gailani, is the great grandson of Pir Ibrahim al Gailani who traces his lineage to Iraq.
Pir Salman has several followers in the city and he has been swearing allegiance as disciples (Bait) into the Qadriya Sufi order.
