Telangana CM launches Mahila Shakthi Yogana for Self Help Groups

Hyderabad: Assuring to improve women participants of self-help groups (SHGs) in the next five years, Telangana chief minister Revanth Reddy launched Mahila Shakthi Yogana.

Speaking at a gathering of women SHGs here on March 12, CM Revanth Reddy promised to make women of SHGs ‘crorepatis’ in the next five years.

Highlighting the purpose of Mahila Shathi, CM Revanth Reddy said that 65 lakh women associated with six lakh SHGs across the state produce top-quality products but have no place to display their talent.

Mahila Shathi Yogana will provide financial empowerment and employment opportunities to women SHGs. In the coming month, 100 stalls will be set up near Shilparamam for women SHGs to showcase and sell their products,” Reddy said.

In the wake of the impending Lok Sabha elections, the chief minister appealed to women to cast their vote for the Congress party. “Give the Congress victory in 14 out of 17 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls,” he said.
