Hyderabad: Telangana chief minister A Revanth Reddy, during a review meeting on Saturday, January 27, with the BC, minority, and tribal welfare departments, has directed the officials to make arrangements for disbursing cash and gold under Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes.
While speaking at the Secretariat on Saturday, January 27, the chief minister asked the officials to make speedy arrangements to implement Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes.
Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes government offer one-time financial assistance of Rs 1,00,116 at the time of marriage for brides who are residents of Telangana, who have completed 18 years of age at the time of marriage, and whose parental income does not exceed Rs 2 lakh per annum.
Congress government, in addition to Rs 1 lakh will also add one Tula (10 gms) of gold, he said.
Besides, he asked the officials to conduct a survey to assess the Backward Classes (BC) population in every Lok Sabha constituency of the state. He also asked them to release funds TO BC welfare hostels through green channels.
He also asked them to prepare estimates for constructing buildings promised for Gurukul schools in all districts.
BC welfare ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, minister of women and child welfare Seethakka, and advisor to the government Shabbir Ali participated in the review.
