Telangana polls: United Muslim Forum extends full support to BRS

Hyderabad: The United Muslim Forum on November 3, Friday, extended its support to the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) in the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections for its government’s efforts towards ‘minority welfare’.

In this respect, the forum’s leaders met with BRS working president K T Rama Rao in Hyderabad.

“The conditions of minorities have improved considerably post the formation of Telangana. The main reason behind this is the massive budget that the BRS-led state government has allocated for the welfare and development programs like the establishment of minority welfare schools, Shaadi Mubarak, etc which are leading to educational, and employment opportunities for minority youth,” the forum remarked.

In the meeting, the forum also delivered a memorandum to KTR on further necessary measures to be taken in this direction by the state government.

On the occasion, KTR said that the BRS government has worked to distribute the fruits of development to people irrespective of caste and region.

“Since the formation of Telangana, neither a drought nor a curfew happened in the state. A culture of ‘Ganga Jamuna Tehzeeb’ is prevailing here. I thank leaders of the United Muslim Forum for extending their complete support to the BRS,” he said.

Telangana is going to the polls on November 30.
