Traffic advisory issued for Hanuman Jayanthi procession on April 2

Hyderabad: In view of the Hanuman Jayanthi procession being taken out from Gowliguda Ram Mandir to Paradise Junction and from Karmanghat Hanuman temple to Directorate of Medical and Health Services (DMHS) Koti on Thursday, April 2, Hyderabad police have issued a traffic advisory asking people to avoid certain routes.

Route for Gowliguda Ram Mandir-Paradise Junction procession

Traffic diversions will be in place from 9:00 am till 8:00 pm on the following route: Gowliguda Ram Mandir – Putlibowli ‘X’ roads – Narayanguda X road – Chikkadpally ‘X’ Roads – RTC X’ roads – Ashok Nagar – Gandhi Nagar – back side of Viceroy Hotel – Sattva Necklace Mall (Praga Tools) – Kavadiguda – CGO Towers – Bansilalpet Road – Bible house – Ghasmandi City Light Hotel – Bata Show Room – Ujjaini Mahankali Temple – Old Ramgopalpet PS Paradise X Roads.

Suggested routes between 9 am and 2 pm

Commuters coming from Lakdikapul intending to go towards Dilsukhnagar or Old City via Koti, Bank Street and Chaderghat are suggested to take the route via Basheerbagh, Old MLA Quarters, Himayathnagar Y Junction, Narayanaguda flyover, Barkathpura, Tourist Jn., Nimboliadda, Chaderghat Causeway, Nalgonda X roads.

Meanwhile, commuters coming from Dilsukh Nagar intending to go towards Mehdipatnam via Koti and DMHS are suggested to take the route via LB Nagar, Uppal, Tarnaka, Secunderabad or via LB Nagar, Chandrayangutta, Aramghar, Attapur, Mehdipatnam.

Suggested routes between 2 pm and 7 pm

Commuters coming from Lakdikapool towards Secunderabad Station or Uppal are suggested to take the route via VV Statue, Somajiguda, Greenlands, Begumpet flyover, Prakashnagar flyover, Paradise flyover after getting down here commuters may take Left to JBS or Right to Secunderabad Station or straight towards St John Rotary for Uppal.

Route for Karmanghat Hanuman temple-DMHS Koti procession

Another procession starts from Karmanghat Hanuman temple in the Malkajgiri
Commissionerate jurisdiction and will enter into Hyderabad City limits at Champapet.

The procession will pass through Champapet X Road – IS Sadan – Dhobhighat- Saidabad Y Junction – Saidabad Colony Road – Shankeshwar Bazar and enter into Malkajgiri Commissionerate Limits at Saroor Nagar Tank and again enter into city limits at Rajiv Gandhi Statue, Dilsukhnagar and passes through Moosaram Bagh Junction -Malakpet – Nalgonda X Road – Azampura Rotary – Chaderghat X Road and will join the Main procession at DMHS, Women’s College Junction.

This tributary procession covers 10.8 kms before joining the Main Procession at DMHS Junction.
