Traffic restrictions around Hyderabad’s KBR Park for flyover, underpass works

Hyderabad: Traffic restrictions will be in place around KBR Park in Hyderabad on Sunday, April 5, due to ongoing construction of a steel flyover and underpass under the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) project.

According to the traffic police, a one-way trial run will be implemented on all surrounding roads of KBR Park between 11 am and 1 pm in areas under the Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills traffic police stations.

Commuters travelling from NFCL towards SNT, Sagar Society, KBR Park entrance, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road No. 36, Road No. 45, and the Cable Bridge are advised to take an alternative route. They should turn left at NTR Bhavan, proceed towards Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, continue via Agrasen Island and Omega Hospital, and then head towards Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Cable Bridge, and IKEA.

Those coming from Yousufguda and Srinagar Colony towards Road No. 36, Road No. 45, Jubilee Hills, and Madhapur are advised to travel via Indiranagar Gadda Road towards Venkatagiri Junction. From there, they should take a right turn and proceed towards Road No. 10 via Diamond House, continue towards Al-Cazar, and then take a right turn to reach Road No. 36 and Road No. 45.

Other instructions

Traffic police have advised commuters to follow the diversions during the specified hours and avoid U-turns on the designated routes.

Motorists are asked to drive on the left side and use marked exit points for smooth movement.

People are also advised to follow instructions from traffic police, pay attention to signboards, and use navigation apps for live traffic updates. In order to reduce congestion, public transport and carpooling are encouraged. Heavy vehicles are advised to avoid the area during peak hours.

Officials said the measures are being taken to ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety during the ongoing infrastructure works.
