Hyderabad: Two persons was arrested for mobile theft in Hyderabad’s Musheerabad area on November 9. iPhone 17 Air was seized from the accused.
The accused were identified as Mohammed Ikramuddin, 24 a resident of Mohallaganja in Golconda and Sumeet Saini, a native of Rajasthan. According to the police on October 18, Ikramuddin came across the add on OLX regarding sale of iPhone 17 and planned to steal it.
On October 27, Ikramuddin asked the complainant to come to Eden Home Stay at Gandhinagar where Ikramuddin had rented a room. As the complainant, along with his brother, arrived at Eden home stay, Ikramuddin offered juice to them.
The accused took the i-Phone 17 Air from the complainant on the pretext of showing the phone to his mother.
As the complainant and his bother fell unconscious, Ikramuddin took the phone along with its charger, bolted the room and fled the place. Based on a complaint, Ikramuddin and Sumeet were arrested by the Musheerabad pollice under section 318 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanahita (BNS).
Ikramuddin was previously involved in three cases of theft and was arrested by Chevella police, Banjara Hills Police and Jubilee Hills police.
