Hyderabad: A fire at a textile shop in Attapur destroyed property worth lakhs on Wednesday afternoon, September 20.
According to reports, the fire quickly spread while workers attempted to save the goods before fleeing due to the intensity of the flames. Hyderabad fire safety personnel were quick to respond and managed to control the fire within an hour.
Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have been caused by a short circuit although the exact cause is still being verified.
The fire caused significant damage to the textile shop in Attapur with estimates suggesting a loss of approximately Rs 10 lakh in property and goods.
Earlier, a significant fire incident occurred at a residential apartment in Manikonda, Hyderabad, reportedly triggered by an electric short circuit.
The incident occurred at the Golden Orion Apartments in Pupplaguda.
Fortunately, all family members residing in the affected flat managed to escape without injury. However, the fire in Hyderabad resulted in substantial property damage, estimated at around Rs 50 lakh.

In a similar incident, a massive fire broke out at a scrapyard in Aramghar, Shivarampally locality of Hyderabad, on Monday afternoon, November 11.
No casualties have been reported so far in the incident that occurred near pillar number 316 of PV Narsimha Rao Flyover. Thick smoke rose over the locality, causing suffocation and panic among the residents.
