Hyderabad: Chiranjeevi, the Tollywood Megastar who last appeared in the lead role in Bhola Shankar, is currently shooting for Vishwambhara, a socio-fantasy drama directed by Vassistha. The shoot of this film is currently taking place in Hyderabad and the makers are busy capturing important scenes.
According to the latest reports, Chiranjeevi has reportedly signed his first web series and will be making his OTT debut soon.
The Megastar has been planning to debut on an OTT platform for some time now. Though there is no official confirmation yet, it seems he has agreed to star in a series.
As of now, there is no official statement on Megaatar’s OTT debut on which banner or OTT platform will produce the web series yet. But sources say that Chiranjeevi will play the lead character in the show. Speculations are rife that he might foray in digital world with Netflix.
It is relevant to mention that megastar Chiranjeevi and his son, Ram Charan met with Ted Sarandos, the CEO of Netflix at his residence recently. The buzz is that this web series project is going to be for Netflix, which has been expanding its presence in the Telugu market. However, there is no official confirmation on this yet.
Apparently, the web series will have top-notch content and a mammoth budget. During one of his interviews earlier, Chiranjeevi had said he wanted to explore new platforms.
